Balance vs. Juggling

I want to give you something short and sweet. Below is a quote from Thomas Leonard which I think will help you to put your work and life into perspective. I encourage you to reevaluate your priorities, do a reality check on what is really important and necessary and delegate, reschedule or get rid of the rest.

"There is a difference between balancing and juggling. Most people think they are well balanced, when, in fact, they are simply good jugglers - experts at keeping many plates in the air. To be balanced is to maintain a steady or stable position - without much effort. To juggle is to rearrange or manipulate skillfully.

"Balance is the result of having different elements of your life work together without conflict. Juggling requires constant attention and effort and results from there being more balls than hands to hold them.

"Suggestion: Simplify your life by 25%. If you're juggling too much, balance simply isn't possible."
